About

Siran Stacy was born in the small town of Geneva, AL on August 6, 1968. His parents, Ellis and Marie Stacy, raised him and from a young age his dream was to play football at the University of Alabama under legendary coach Paul “Bear” Bryant. After graduating Geneva High School, Stacy enrolled at Coffeyville Junior College in Coffeyville, Kansas, where he prospered as a student athlete playing football. Stacy blossomed under the guidance of head coach Dick Foster, and achieved numerous honors on his way to becoming one of the top running back prospects in the country. This lead to a scholarship offer to play football at the University of Alabama, which allowed him to move back to his home state and at the same time achieve a childhood dream.  In his first game playing division I football against Memphis State, he set a record with four touchdowns, while gaining 165 rushing yards in only 14 carries, with his first two carries being touchdowns. Stacy ended the 1989 season with 18 touchdowns and over 1,000 yards; setting numerous Alabama records. Stacy started the 1990 season under the direction of Alabama great Gene Stallings. The season started with many pre-season honors and he was said to be a Heisman front runner. Tragically, Stacy suffered a  season ending knee injury during the season opener. He received a medical red-shirt for the 1990 season and returned to his former glory in 1991 to achieve all SEC honors as well as being named a 2nd team All-American. He participated in post season bowls such as The Japan Bowl in Tokyo, as well as the Senior Bowl in Mobile, AL.

Stacy was drafted in the second round of the NFL draft by the Philadelphia Eagles. He played in Philadelphia for one season, and in 1995, he returned to football to play for the Scottish Claymores in the World Football League, renamed NFL Europe. Stacy lived in Scotland during that time and became close to the Scottish people. He ended up playing in different cities all over Europe such as Barcelona, London, Frankfurt, Amsterdam and numerous other cities in the UK. Stacy earned league MVP honors in 1997, while leading the Scottish Claymores to a World Bowl Championship. In 2000 he retired from football to join corporate America. He was offered a job by Billy Taylor and Heath Quick of Home Town Lenders, and ended up  at Countrywide Home Loans, Wells Fargo Home Mortgage, and eventually Coastal Community Bank located in Panama City, FL.

In addition to his corporate banking jobs, Stacy also worked with Bill Glass Prison Ministry, Fellowship of Christian Athletes (FCA), and spoke to many small churches and congregations. In November of 2007, Stacy’s life changed forever when his family’s van was struck by a drunk driver one mile from their home. Stacy, his wife Ellen (36), his son Bronson (10), his daughters Lequisa (18), Sydney (9), Shelly (4), and Ellie Ann-Marie (2), were all in the vehicle that night. Tragically, only Stacy and Shelly survived that night. In 2008, Stacy was asked to give his testimony to a small church in Gulf Shores, AL, and from there Stacy started his own ministry. He speaks to a variety of groups including churches, high schools, corporate groups, military branches, prisons, and many more. Stacy’s message is centered upon the resurrection power and redeeming blood of Jesus Christ, and aimed towards making an impact on the broken hearted, the suffering teenager, and he has a passion for men and their role as leaders and mentors in the family.

Siran, I heard yoy brindg the word at the Church of God of Prophecy men retreat. I must say you are a man after God’s own heart. I was really moved by the sincerity that i felt and the clarity of the word with no strange attached. I did get a chance to talk to you one on one in the gym and that small talk made me tell everybody about the experience of that weekend. I setup booking information to have you bring a powerful word to a city of dying men and unbelievers. I was truly blesssed and i wasn’t suppose to be there that weekend, i share the encouraging word you brought with all my brothers who think that are going through. Thanks.

  2. I am a teacher and head girls’ basketball coach at Heritage Academy in Columbus. I heard most of your speech to our students this morning. I remember watching the story about your family on the news all the way in DeSoto County, Mississippi. Thank you for allowing the healing power of Jesus Christ empower you to help (and inspire) others. I cannot imagine such a loss but I do know that God makes no mistakes and that He had a greater purpose for your life. You are an example to all athletes (current and former) and to people in general. I just want to commend you for your courage and I pray that God continues to use you in these last days to bring people, especially young people, into the Kingdom of God. You inspired me today! Thank you. God Bless.

Siran, I heard your testimony one Sunday a year ago in Calera, Al. How powerful your message was! I was struck by your willingness to be used so soon after your tragedy, only the power of the HOLY GHOST
could do that through you. I have also suffered personal tragedy though not on the level that you have
and I was just wallowing in anger and grief when your name fell out of my book. Your testimony gave me
the courage I need to forgive and move on in the direction that the HOLY ONE is leading. Thank you for
your willingness to be used. My prayers will be with you in days to come and I know that FATHER hears me.

I just heard some of your testimony on TBN. Continue to let the lord use you and continue to preach Christ and him crucified that is the way and the only way to victory. I’m from Columbus, Mississippi and I belong to All Nations Christian Fellowship Church and i’m so grateful and thankful for the message of the cross. One of the number one problems in the body of christ is unforgiviness and the sad thing about it is some saints don’t even realize they’re carrying unforgiveness in their hearts. Continue to allow the leading and guiding of the Holy Spirit and stay encourage and i thank God for your life and where he’s brought you thus far.

Today I really broke down again & cried out: “God i don’t wanna live anymore! I have no reason to live because i have no family!” And i’ve been christian for a long time. But my husband passed 6 yrs ago after only a few yrs of mrg. No kids cause he was diagnosed w/cancer – then chemo early on. My parents & 2 bros. passed also, & the rest of my siblings live way out of state. That’s why it was God my seeing u on TBN tonite. You’re one of those very rare christians who truly UNDERSTANDs deepest desolation and therefore has EARNED the right to speak & be listened to & to truly minister to the DEEPEST parts of the heart. And i so needed that tonite. Now i will say, at least you’ve had your Mom & family around. I haven’t even had that, so i continue fighting just to set 1 foot in front of the other in this Greatest of tribulations in my life. But thank u for your testimony. It’s so POWERFUL in that, if nothing else, i can say: “HE made it, so can I!”

Dear Bro Siran, I watched you on TBN last night and I saw “authentic” adoration for Jesus The Christ, Son of the Living God. The love of GOD came through the television. I sat transfixed, listening to the words of GOD flow from your mouth. It also showed the GREATNESS of GOD in a situation I’ve yet to encounter, yet you spoke with such confidence & clarity. What did it do to me? It motivated me to ” Move in” closer to HIM and come in without the makeup. There is so much more in the Lord and HE is using you to wake us up out of our slumber. Thank you Father and thank you brother for answering the call.

Siran, You spoke today at the CFC rally for Marshall Space Flight Center. I was overwhelmed by your story. My husband and I sat there listening to you and crying. I cannot imagine or even comprehend what you have gone through. It really helped me to be more thankful and not to feel so sorry for myself when things are tough. I will be praying for you and your precious little girl. I know that what you are doing is so pleasing to the Lord and you will be blessed for it. Thanks for sharing your story and those precious pictures of you family with us.

  15. Betty says:

I watched a rerun of the TBN program and was feeling what you were saying. I lost my entire family husband and 3 children in a plane crash in 1996 (November 23rd). The plane was hijacked as they were coming home. This year will be the 15th year and it still feels like yesterday. I feel like noone really understands what one is going through unless someone who has been through this themselves. You made me realize that I am not the only one who is chosen to have this ‘thorn’. I am glad that that you are using your testimony to tell people about the Love of God. I pray that God continue to give you strength. I will pray for you and Shelly on Nov 19th that God will give you both Strength. God Bless you.
